Union Berlin defeated their opponent 2-0 to begin their 2024 season, with Aaronson opening the scoring in the first half. The USMNT star brilliantly took the ball down mid-air, cut past a defender and slid the ball into the bottom-right corner of the net.

It was Aaronson's first goal for the club, and the first time we've seen a sense of composure from the 23-year-old since arriving on loan from Leeds United in the summer. The USMNT star has struggled to earn first-team minutes all season long, but Berlin have far from met expectations. They were eliminated from the Champions League after a woeful group stage effort, sacked their head coach Urs Fischer, and are just outside the relegation zone with a mere four wins through the fall campaign. However, this could now be the start Aaronson needs to help guide them back on track in 2024.
DID YOU KNOW?
Aaronson was sent off in just his second-ever appearance for the Unioners in a 4-1 victory over SV Darmstadt on August 26.
